ABOUT THE HUB

The BBB AI Hub exists at the intersection of trust, innovation, and opportunity.

Artificial intelligence is changing how we work, learn, create, compete, and grow. The BBB AI Hub was built to help people move from uncertainty to confidence — giving small businesses, nonprofits, educators, students, entrepreneurs, and workforce participants the practical skills they need to thrive in an AI-driven economy.

Through trusted guidance, hands-on learning, real-world business applications, and responsible AI education, the Hub makes artificial intelligence approachable, useful, and powerful. We are not just teaching people how to use new tools. We are helping them think with AI, build momentum, and shape a future where technology strengthens people, organizations, and communities.

Build confidence. Create momentum. Shape your future.

AI VALUE GAP

Gartner predicts that by 2028, over 50% of enterprises will fail to realize measurable business value from AI.

While AI grows more complex every day, expectations for its impact have never been higher. Your CEO and board want clear evidence that technology investments are driving business growth, agility and efficiency.

Blue circular graphic reading “Over 50% of businesses will not gain value from AI.”

That is where we come in.

The BBB AI Hub is designed to serve as a regional Center of Excellence for AI Literacy, helping people move from curiosity to confidence through structured learning pathways, hands-on training, industry workshops, certification programs, and leadership development. We believe AI education should not be limited to large corporations or technical experts. It should be available to the organizations and people who power our communities every day.

Because AI’s role is so significant, BBB understands that meaningful progress requires collaboration across the entire community. That is why the BBB AI Hub works alongside two important groups: Partner Organizations and Trainers (link to partner page).

Partner Organizations are business and community organizations that help train, promote, and expand the reach of the BBB AI Hub throughout the region. These partners play a vital role in building awareness, creating access, and ensuring that more businesses and nonprofits can benefit from trusted AI education.

Trainers are vetted subject matter experts who teach within the AI Hub and share the same core values as BBB. To ensure the highest level of trust for the community, these trainers and partners are also vetted and BBB Accredited, reinforcing our commitment to credibility, ethics, and quality.

With the trust of the BBB brand, the strength of community partnerships, and a focus on real-world impact, we are creating a hub where people can build AI skills, strengthen human judgment, and prepare for the future of work with clarity and confidence.

Communities Must Be Ready

The real question is not whether AI will have an impact. It is whether our communities will be prepared with the skills, confidence, and support needed to respond.

AI Literacy Is Essential

AI literacy is becoming a foundational workforce skill. People need to understand AI principles, explore practical uses, direct AI effectively, evaluate outputs, and use AI responsibly.

Hands-On Learning Matters

Effective AI education must be practical and ongoing. Hands-on learning, continued pathways, human-centered skills, and agility are essential as the technology continues to evolve.

Support Is Urgent

Small businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders often lack the time, trusted guidance, or internal capacity to navigate AI on their own. Without accessible support, the gap will only grow.

The BBB AI Hub Closes the Gap

The BBB AI Hub helps people and organizations move from uncertainty to readiness through trusted education, practical guidance, and responsible AI literacy. This strengthens workforce readiness, economic resilience, and community success.

This is not only about technology.

It is about helping our region thrive in an AI-driven future.

The Framework Behind Our Approach

The BBB AI Hub is grounded in the U.S. Department of Labor’s AI Literacy Framework, a practical national model designed to help people and organizations build the core knowledge needed to work effectively with artificial intelligence. This framework gives structure to AI literacy by identifying the foundational skills people need to understand, apply, evaluate, and use AI responsibly in real-world settings.

The graphic below outlines the five foundational content areas of AI literacy: Understand AI Principles, Explore AI Uses, Direct AI Effectively, Evaluate AI Outputs, and Use AI Responsibly. Together, these areas create a strong foundation for individuals and organizations that want to build confidence with AI while also maintaining sound judgment, accountability, and ethical use.

The Department of Labor framework also emphasizes that AI literacy is not just about learning tools. It is about how learning is delivered. That includes experiential learning, building complementary human skills, embedding learning in context, creating pathways for continued growth, and designing programs that can adapt as AI evolves. Those principles align closely with the BBB AI Hub’s role as a trusted regional center for practical, responsible, and community-based AI education.

By aligning with this framework, the BBB AI Hub is able to offer a model that is not only practical for today’s workforce, but also connected to the broader national conversation around workforce readiness, economic resilience, and responsible innovation.

The AI Literacy Framework We Use

The BBB AI Hub uses the U.S. Department of Labor’s AI Literacy Framework as a guiding model for how we design training, learning pathways, and workforce development experiences. The framework identifies five core areas of AI literacy—understanding AI principles, exploring AI uses, directing AI effectively, evaluating AI outputs, and using AI responsibly. It also emphasizes practical, hands-on learning and the development of human skills that remain essential in an AI-driven world. This framework helps ensure our work is trusted, relevant, and aligned with the future of workforce readiness.
